The Bariatric Surgery Program Team
Medical Director: Ranjan Sudan, MD
Dr. Sudan joined Creighton University Medical Center in August of 2002. He is an Associate Professor of Surgery and Psychiatry, as well as the Director of the Bariatric and Robotic Surgery Programs. Dr. Sudan came to us from The University of Nebraska Medical Center where he served as an Assistant Professor of Surgery and the Director of Bariatric Surgery for four years. |

Physician: R. Armour Forse, MD, PhD
Dr. Forse joined Creighton University Medical Center in September of 2004. He is the Lempka Professor and Chairman of the Department of Surgery. Dr. Forse came to us from Boston University where he served as the Lazlo N. Tauber Professor and Vice-Chairman of Surgery. |

Physician: Alene Wright, MD
Dr. Wright joined Creighton University Medical Center in July of 2005 and is an Instructor of Surgery. Dr. Wright came to us upon completion of her internship and residency in general surgery and her fellowship in bariatric surgery at Creighton University School of Medicine. |

Registered Dietitian: Shelly Oestmann, RD, LMNT
Shelly joined the Creighton University Medical Center team in July of 2006. She has been practicing as a clinical dietitian for more than 18 years with experience in weight management, cardiac care, intensive care, community education and wellness. She strives to incorporate nutrition as a lifestyle component to enhance health and quality of life. Shelly's past work experience includes serving on a team for the Dr. Dean Ornish Program for Heart Reversal. |
