At Creighton University Medical Center, we don’t just treat your cancer; we aim to treat your whole body and mind as well. Our team includes a psycho-oncologist, Jeffrey Knajdl, MD and a nurse practitioner, Barbara Clinkenbeard, MS, APNP dedicated to assisting patients and families through their ordeal. Gynecologists, plastic surgeons and bone health experts are additional specialists on the team.
Breast Reconstruction
New medical techniques and devices have made it possible for surgeons to create a breast that can come close in form and appearance to matching a natural breast.
Many mastectomy patients are medically appropriate for reconstruction, many at the same time that the breast is removed. Many options need to be considered as you and your doctor explore what's best for you.
