Dear Patients, Family and Friends,
During our 140-year history of bringing quality medical care to our friends and neighbors in Omaha, Council Bluffs and surrounding Nebraska and Iowa communities, Creighton University Medical Center has undergone many changes. We have grown from our original humble two-story frame building with 28 beds, established by the Sisters of Mercy in 1870, to our current modern full-service facility, licensed for 334 beds with a compliment of eleven primary care centers.
Creighton University Medical Center is an academic medical center, teaching tomorrow’s health care professionals while striving for excellence in diagnosis and treatment today. Driven by our passion for patient care, teaching and research, we provide advanced care for some of the region’s sickest patients, smallest babies and most complex injuries and illnesses. We raise the bar for clinical excellence with our expertise in trauma, cardiac care, cancer care, specialized surgery, transfusion-free medicine and high-risk obstetrics.
We are proud of our heritage and service and invite you to actively use our online information to familiarize yourself with our services, facilities and our people.
Sincerely,
Gary Honts
President and Chief Executive Officer
