Ob/Gyn is a combination of two specialities.
Obstetrics is the care provided to a woman during the three trimesters of pregnancy and for a few weeks following the birth.
Gynecology is the care provided to a woman throughout her lifetime specifically related to disorders of the female reproductive system. Gynecologists address menstruation, menopause, fertility, diseases of the breast, cervix, uterus, fallopian tubes, ovaries and premenstrual syndrome.
