Creighton University Medical Center Names Dr. Robert Dunlay Chief Medical Officer
(OMAHA, Neb. – October, 2009) – Creighton University Medical Center has announced the appointment of Dr. Robert Dunlay as its new Chief Medical Officer.
“Dr. Dunlay’s academic credentials, leadership skills and vast health care knowledge will serve him well as Creighton University Medical Center continues to move forward with enhancing our quality service to our patients and physicians,” said Creighton University Medical Center President and CEO Gary Honts. “We welcome him aboard and look forward to incorporating his practices to benefit both the medical center and our medical staff.” Dunlay currently serves as Professor of Medicine and Pharmacology at Creighton University and is also the Associate Chair of Medicine for Education and Assistant Dean for Clinical Affairs. Appointed Assistant Professor of Medicine and Pharmacology in 1996, Dunlay’s affiliation with Creighton University and Creighton University Medical Center dates back to 1974, where he completed his undergraduate studies and subsequent medical school, internship and residency. In addition to his medical doctorate, Dunlay holds a master of business administration from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst.
