As a Level I trauma center, Creighton University Medical Center is home to one of the busiest emergency departments in the state, treating approximately 32,000 patients every year.

Our dedicated trauma bays ensure rapid and comprehensive patient evaluation and treatment. Our operating room teams stand ready to provide rapid damage-control surgery to improve survivability. Specialized critical care teams, led by intensivists and surgeons, staff our 25-bed tertiary-care intensive care unit. Our critical care nurses, respiratory therapists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, social workers, and other team members all are dedicated to ensuring superior care using evidence-based practice.
